Axis cameras are known for reliability and flexibility, but their built-in FTP options can be even more powerful when paired with a modern, secure cloud backend.

With ftpGrid, you can connect any Axis camera directly to GDPR-compliant cloud storage in Europe using FTP, SFTP, FTPS, or SCP, no local server, no risky port forwarding, and no complicated maintenance.

Why Use ftpGrid With Axis Cameras?

  • Encrypted and GDPR-compliant: All data is encrypted in transit and at rest, hosted in Germany, your video never leaves the EU.

  • Works with built-in Axis FTP support: No custom firmware or plugins required.

  • Reliable alternative to local NVRs: Store footage safely in the cloud with automatic backup.

  • Free tier available: Try it out with 256 MB storage, enough to test uploads and validate your setup.
